Business Analyst

Bridgetree has an immediate opening for a Business Analyst that is a talented in working alongside the Project Manager, client, and project team, performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and supporting user acceptance testing. The Bridgetree Business Analyst should have a natural ability to analyze and define the business processes and exhibit the ability to explain difficult concepts to technical and non-technical users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Serve as liaison between the client and Bridgetree through the project lifecycle
  • Determine objectives by studying business functions, gathering information for requirements
  • Works with client and project team to Identify, gather, and drive business requirements
  • Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision
  • Conducts interviews to gather client requirements via workshops, mindmapping sessions, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
  • Build and maintain workflow charts, diagrams, and business specifications
  • Works with the stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements
  • Ensure that clearly user stories are documented and entered in the project repositories
  • Support change requests with impact analysis and documentation for the team and client
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of changes
  • Facilitates User Acceptance Testing with the client and Bridgetree QA to validate for production
  • Monitor production releases, validation with the QA team and client, and sign-off of delivery
  • Refine backlog to ensure users stories have detailed and accurate acceptance criteria and are ready for development to begin
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and contact for assigned projects and clients
  • Provide timely responses to all inquiries (e.g. within one (1) business day)
  • Strategic thought leadership to suggest and drive greater value for the client
  • Leads and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to company standards
  • Manage client expectations, clearly communicating to all stakeholders, business and technical
  • Participate in daily/weekly team stand-up / scrum calls to support milestones

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in business analysis or related field
  • A bachelor’s degree in business related field
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Experienced with the processes to define and drive business requirements
  • Ability to influence stakeholders/clients and work closely to determine acceptable solutions
  • Experienced in created detailed reports and giving presentations
  • Must possess a high level of initiative and capable of handling multiple task and projects
  • Proven experience in data and technology projects

  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams collaboratively
  • Knowledge of agile methodology / scrum processes
  • Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience analyzing reports (e.g. burndown charts, velocity charts, sprint reports)
  • Self-motivated, results oriented, creative, and a strong sense of accountability
  • Creative thought leadership with an aptitude for learning new processes and tools
  • Able to work in a very fast-paced environment and able to react to urgent requests
  • Excellent communication, documentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
